A fervent defender of traditions in the heart of the North
On September 10, 2000, a significant event took place in Jenlain: the official induction ceremony of the founding members of the Brotherhood of the Order of Beers of Jenlain. This first chapter sealed the birth of our brotherhood, born from a common desire to preserve and promote the local brewing heritage.
Jenlain, cradle of a unique brewing tradition
Located in the heart of the North of France, Jenlain is not only a town, it is today the cradle of a world-renowned brewing tradition. Formerly punctuated by a beer fair, Jenlain has seen this tradition fade away in favor of Christmas Markets. It was then that the Jenlinoise Tourism Association (AJT) decided to found the Brotherhood of the Order of Beers of Jenlain, dedicated to highlighting this precious heritage, working tirelessly to promote the image, history, gastronomy and, of course, the beers of this unique terroir.
A representative of artisanal know-how
Beyond promotion, the Brotherhood plays a vital role since it extols the merits of the products of the only craft brewery in the region, known worldwide, without making it exclusive. It highlights the expertise and passion of the brewers who have been perpetuating it for generations.
A commitment without borders: promoting all craft beers
The brotherhood proudly displays the colours of Jenlain, but its commitment goes further. It positions itself as a pioneering defender of all craft beers, particularly those from the Nord region. True to its values of openness and sharing, it distinguishes itself through collaborations with other brotherhoods such as the Ghilde des Eswards Cervoisiers, the Confrérie Cervoise St Médard and other brotherhoods in the region.
